Privacy Policy

QWIST stores some information on your device to make the game work and remember your choices. This can include your language preference, gameplay state, round counters, and similar local settings. This information is generally kept on-device unless it is included in a purchase-verification request described below.

We do not state that QWIST directly collects account, profile, contact, login, or precise GPS-location information because those practices are not part of the current app implementation.

Third-party services used by QWIST may process information in connection with their services. In particular:

• Google Mobile Ads and Google UMP may process device or advertising identifiers, coarse location, ad interactions or other product interactions, advertising data, and diagnostic, performance, or crash-related SDK information. Whether and how these categories are processed depends on your consent choices, platform settings, SDK behavior, and applicable law.
• Purchase verification may involve transaction and entitlement information needed to verify whether Premium should be granted. QWIST does not receive or store your full payment-card information.

Information handled by QWIST and the relevant service providers may be used to:

• save local game preferences and gameplay progress on your device;
• provide, measure, and limit advertising through Google Mobile Ads;
• present and record consent choices where required through Google UMP;
• process and verify Premium subscription entitlements; and
• comply with applicable legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

QWIST uses Google Mobile Ads / AdMob for interstitial and rewarded ads. It does not use banner or App Open ads. Normal ads are not shown to Premium users.

QWIST uses Google User Messaging Platform (UMP), including the European regulations / GDPR consent message, to request and manage privacy choices where applicable. You can change available choices through the privacy options offered in the app, where available, and through relevant device or account settings.

On iOS, Apple may show the App Tracking Transparency prompt in connection with the AdMob IDFA explanatory message. You may choose “Ask App Not to Track” or otherwise deny tracking and still use QWIST. Ads may still be served without access to the IDFA where permitted, but ad personalization may be limited.

You can also manage ad personalization in your device settings:

• On Android, review the Google advertising controls available in your device settings or Google Account.
• On iOS, review Tracking and Apple advertising settings in Settings.

QWIST offers auto-renewable Premium subscriptions. On iOS, subscriptions are offered through the Apple App Store / StoreKit in monthly and yearly options. On Android, subscriptions are offered through Google Play Billing.

Apple or Google, as applicable, processes payments. MARPOL Games does not directly receive or store full payment-card information. To verify Premium entitlement before granting Premium access, purchase or transaction information required for verification may be sent over HTTPS to our verification backend, which uses Cloudflare infrastructure.

We do not sell personal information. We share or enable processing only as needed to operate the services described in this policy, including with:

• Google AdMob and Google UMP: for advertising delivery, measurement, and consent management;
• Apple App Store / StoreKit and Google Play Billing: for purchase processing and subscription administration; and
• Cloudflare: for infrastructure supporting the HTTPS purchase-verification backend. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

We may also disclose information where necessary to comply with applicable law, enforce our rights, or respond to valid legal process.

Purchase-verification requests are sent over HTTPS. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Local game data remains on your device until you change it, clear app data, or uninstall QWIST, subject to your device's behavior. Purchase-verification information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for verification, record-keeping, dispute handling, or legal obligations. Google, Apple, and Cloudflare retain information under their own applicable policies.

Depending on where you live, including in the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and other jurisdictions with applicable privacy laws, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or objection to certain processing of your personal information, and to request portability where applicable.

• Use the privacy options provided in QWIST, where available, to change consent choices.
• Manage tracking and personalized advertising through your device or account settings.
• Clear local QWIST data through your device settings or by uninstalling the app.

QWIST is not intended for children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information to us through QWIST, please contact us. We will review the request and take appropriate steps consistent with applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to QWIST or applicable requirements. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Please review it periodically.
